The premier summer event in Shiawassee County returns to celebrate the life of author and conservationist James Oliver Curwood right in the heart of downtown. Centered around the historic Owosso Curwood Castle, this family-friendly festival draws tens of thousands of visitors each year.
Dates: June 4 – June 7, 2026
Key Activities: The Opening Ceremony kicks things off Thursday at 6:00 PM, followed by the Kids Parade on Friday evening at 7:00 PM and the Heritage Parade on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Skerbeck Family carnival rides run all weekend.
